Barry M Nail Paint's

Recently I have been obsessed with all things sparkly even more unusual, with the upcoming festive season i think we are all on the lookout for something that extra bit special and glittery! I have found what has provided my glitter fix and the brand that has provided this fix for me is the one and only Barry M. I have always loved Barry M's Nail Paints, but recently they have appeared to have even more stunning Nail paints that come in a wider range of coloured glitters that are different textures as well as having some gorgeous two tone shades.

From Right to Left: 354 Amethyst Glitter , 336 Magenta Glitter , 340 Aqua Glitter , 297 Blue Glitter & 335 Copper

(These are just a few of my favourites at the moment)

They are at a bargain price of £2.99 and with Boots doing there 3 for 2 offers make them even more hard to resist. They are amazing quality and take up to 2 coats of polish to get an opaque nail colour (Even the glitters!!! How good is that!). It has just become a done thing for me now that every time I go into Boots or Superdrug that I end up picking up another shade of the Barry M nail paint.

From Thumb to Pinkie :) Copper, Blue Glitter, Aqua Glitter, Magenta Glitter & Amethyst Glitter

They are so striking that anytime I have worn one of them, people will comment on how lovely the polish is, or even at work when painting a clients nails they will always choose one of the Barry M polishes, even though I have a wide range varying from OPI, Nails Inc and China Glaze.

So if you are looking for a Sparktacular nail polish this winter, please check out Barry M's Nail Paint range, and I promise you..... You will not be disappointed!!!

If you would like me to do a review of my non- glitter Barry M Nail Paints let me know!

Whats your favourite festive nail polish??

Sephora's Trio Ombres De Lune

I had previously mentioned the Sephora Trio De Lune in my Sephora haul post, since then I have been using these two little beauties and I have to say that I am very impressed by the quality and pigmentation of these shadows. I really love this type of mineralized / baked eyeshadows. These eyeshadows will work great dry or wet for more of an intense colour payoff.

                            Dusk Til Dawn                       Blue Moon

The two shade I have are Blue Moon and Dusk til Dawn. You can use each line of colour separately or mix all three together. Either way they give a gorgeous shimmery pigmented colour. I absolutely adore the colours in these two eyeshadows! They don't give much fall out, which is always a bonus for glitter based shadows.

Blue Moon

All mixed together

Swatches of individual colour

These shadows are perfect for creating a quick smokey eye look with colour! You have a base, crease and highlight colour all in the one pot, they blend so smoothly together. The texture of these are so smooth, hence why the blend like a dream. They remind me of Mac's Mineralized eyeshdaows and the Accessorize Baked eyeshadows. The Sephora Trio Ombres De Lune retail at € 14.90 which is roughly about £11.93 in sterling.

Dusk Til Dawn

Individual Swatch
Mixed together

I think that they are really good quality for the value for money, but the only downfall of these products are that they are hard to get hold of in the UK unless you get them shipped from France or the USA.

Magazine Freebies :)

Just a little update to let you know of some magazine freebies that are available at the moment! With Marie Claire's November edition you get a free mini L'occitane Hand Cream, It comes with either the original or you can collect 3 Limited Edition ones that are Rose Petals, Mango Flower and Date Bouquet. You also get a 50ml tube of Dove's new Colour radiance conditioner. The magazine is priced at £3.70 so I think the two free samples are great value for money.

With Novembers issue of Instyle Magazine you get a 4.0ml of Benefit's Cha cha Tint. Although this is a smaller sample, a little of this product goes along way. For the full size product it would cost £24.50, so I think this is a great way to try the product before investing in it! The Magazine retails at £3.90 so it is a lovely bonus getting a nice product for free!

Winter Warmer with Soap & Glory

There is no doubt about it, winter is well and truly here, and there is nothing I love more at the  end of
a long  cold winters day , than have a hot bath! Therefore I have compiled together what I think makes the perfect winter warmer bath with one of my favourite brands Soap & Glory products.

My recipe for the perfect bath is ;

** Soap & Glory Clean Girls Body Wash
( I use this as a wash and bubble bath )

** Soap & Glory Some Like It Hot Thermal Scrub

** Soap & Glory Righteous Body Butter Lotion

For me, these three products make my bath smell lovely and feel gorgeous. I like to  use the Clean Girls body wash as my bubble bath as I find the pump easy to use in the shower and the bath. You can use the calm one Calm all bubble bath instead, its all down to personal preference, there both as yummy as on another. I find the Clean Girls body was very moisturising, it has natural vanilla fruit and orchid extracts. It has the fragrance of 'Mist you madly'. I find it makes the bath nice and bubbly and gives of a gorgeous fragrant scent.

To add a bit of extra heat to your bath, I love Some like it hot thermal body softening scrub. It has two different sugars in it, macadamia oil, aloe vera , white sand grains which exfoliates your skin like a dream as well as leaving it feel soft and smell lovely. It also has self activating therminerals which makes the scrub heat up when your applying it to the skin. It feels lovely when it is heating up!

After using the scrub I rinse off using the Clean Girls wash, getting rid of any excess bits of the scrub that may be left one the skin. Then to finish off my pamper session, after drying off I use the Righteous Body Butter! This moisturiser has shea butter, almond oil , aloe vera, vitamin E just to name a few of the highly moisturising ingredients that it contains. It is a glorious hydrating
moisturiser that smells like heaven.

For me these products add up to create the perfect winter warmer treat for my bath this winter!

What are your favourite products for a pamper in the winter??

Superdrug's Dry Shampoo in Chocolate Brownie

I have been keen to find a good dry shampoo as we all have those days when are hair isn't the cleanest and you don't have time to wash it! Previously I had tried the Batiste dry shampoo, but was put off it as I thought it made my hair look very ashy and dull even though  it was the one that is specifically for dark hair, I still wasn't really impressed.

I was then watching one of ViviannaDoesMakeup's videos and she had mentioned Superdrug's own brand of dry shampoo for dark hair. The next time i was out shopping in Superdrug I thought I would pick up a bottle to try. I couldn't believe how reasonable it was, only £1.99 for 150ml and to top it off it was on offer to buy 1 get 2 free!! It doesn't get much better than that.

I am really pleased with this product , it claims to refresh dull and lifeless hair between washes, and that is exactly what it does! Instead of making my hair look dry and dull, it gives my hair added volume and gives it a healthy shine. It is the perfect colour for dark hair. It is also available in four other scents that is suitable for people with a lighter hair colour. This is such a good product for great value, I would definitely recommend picking some up while this great offer is on!

You can go and check out Vivianna's Blog Here and her Youtube Chanel Here!

Rituals Ice Shower

I got this Rituals shower gel a couple of months ago for a birthday present and have been using it practically every time I have had a shower since I got it! I love the scent of it, its is organic bamboo and Chinese mint. The scent makes it so refreshing, especially when using it in the morning.

Rituals suggest to use this product after exercise or in hot weather. This is because it gives such a cooling effect on the skin. They advise you to apply the gel before you have a shower, this is because the longer that you leave it on the skin, the cooler the gel gets.

I think it is one of the most refreshing shower gels I have tried. I have used other mint based shower gels and nothing has compared to this one! It is in the men's section of Rituals, but is unisex as it doesn't have a masculine scent. It retails at £7 which I think is good value for a high end luxury product.

Rituals philosophy is 'Happiness can be found in the smallest of places', and their aim is to make each of their products transform your everyday routine. I find their products are very luxurious and the quality and scent of the products make you feel like your having a 'Spa like' experience. I would definitely recommend this Ice shower gel and since finishing it, I have gone back to repurchase it and have picked up a couple more of their products and look forward to trying them.

I had posted on my blog earlier in the weeks that I was taking part in a make up swap with someone from the US , Chicago to be precise. I did the swap with Claire, who is a beauty blogger from Chicago.  I thought this was a good way to try  out different products that aren't available in the UK. I really enjoyed going out and shopping for the swap, to me any excuse to do a bit of make up shopping is always a good thing!

Everything was so well wrapped and gorgeously packaged :)

I received my parcel last Thursday, and I have to say I was over the moon with everything I received. I was literally like a kid at Christmas when I got this parcel and when I was opening everything!!  Unfortunately through travelling he two Wet and Wild palettes shattered a bit, but I am still thrilled with them! It is bound to happen whilst travelling such a distance, and it was wrapped up very well.

Here are the products that i received :)

September Favourites!

I thought that I would write a short post on what has been my favourite products throughout the month of September. I have a mixture of make up and skincare products that I have been loving this month!!

** Make up Favourites **

Firstly, what has been my go to eyeshadow palette this month is the Illamasqua Neutral Palette. I have been loving this, and to be honest it hasn't left my make up bag. It is perfect to have when i have needed to make my eye make up into more of an evening look when going out after work and have been using nearly every day!! It has over taken my Urban Decay Naked Palette and will be my go to natural palette from now on. I have a blog post already reviewing how amazing this product is, you can find the link to it Here!

Another product that I couldn't be without is my favourite mascara!! It is the Bourjois Volume Glamour mascara in ultra black. I have been using this mascara for ages now , and no matter what other ones i try i always end up going back to this one. I have always love the Bourjois mascaras, in particular the volume glamour as i find it does a great job of making my eyelashes appear thicker and more longer.

One of my other favourites this month has been the Illamasqua Loose Finishing power in 010. I love how finely milled the powder is and it smells of a lovely soft vanilla. I love finishing my make up off with this powder as it give a lovely finish and makes my skin feel smooth an soft , it still lets my skin have a healthy glow with out making it look overly matte. It helps to keep my make up last longer as well. I use this regularly when I'm working as well and all my clients have loved it just as much as I do. Sadly mine is near its end so will have to order another one, it is also available in a pressed powder formulation.

** Favourite Skincare **

One of my favourite products that has become one of my monthly favourites is my eye make up remover. It is the Boots Botanics all bright soothing eye makeup remover. I have been using it religiously since i got it and find it removes my eye make up, no matter how much I am wearing off it , like an absolute dream! To find out more check out my post on it here!

With the winter months now coming in quickly and getting colder by the day I have two moisturising products that are taking the edge of the coldness one my skin! Firstly with the season's changing the first thing i noticed was my lips were starting to dry out, so I have started to use my trusty Carmex again and the results are just what I wanted! It has made my lips no longer chapped and smooth again.

For my skin I have been loving No.7's Essential Moisture day fluid. It is recommended for normal to dry skin and is hypo-allergenic. I find it is perfect for keeping my skin hydrated as recently my skin has been very dry and dehydrated, but since using this my skin has been great! I think I'm going to end up trying out the night cream in this as well.

** Favourite Fragrance **

My favourite fragrance this month has been Escada's Rockin' Rio. I used to wear this all the time when i was younger but it then got discontinued. I was over the moon to see that for this summer Escada brought out three limited edition perfume's from there previous collections and Rocking Rio was one of them. It is a lovely floral sweet scent that is nice and light and not over powering. Its a gorgeous scent for everyday!! If you like fragrances like the Britney Spears Fantasy , Lady GaGa's perfume you will love Rockin Rio.

No 7 Stay and Perfect Nail Colour

                         Foxglove             Damson Dream                   Salsa

When No.7 have there £5 off vouchers and 3 for 2, i find it hard not to pick up a couple off their products! This time round they also have a £3 off voucher just for cosmetics and the £5 for skincare! With these offers on i ended up picking up 3 of there nail colours line the shade's, Damson Dream, Salsa and Foxglove. Damson Dream and Salsa are both shimmers and Foxglove is a satin finish. No.7 has a great range of nail colours that come in a wide variety of colour. I thought these three shades would be perfect for the up coming winter months.

                                               Salsa         Damson Dream               Foxglove

I like the overall finish and quality of these polishes. I find that the ones that have a shimmer take either two thick coats or three thin layers and the normal satin finish colours take either one thick coat or two thin layers. The have a quick drying formula and the brush is a really good length and size that helps to cover the nail with the polish easily.I really am please with these polishes and think that they are really well prices at £5.50 for 10ml, and especially when they are on offer for 3 for 2 and the money off vouchers are valid with this offer as well. I will definitely be taking advantage of this offer and think these polishes would make perfect gifts and stocking fillers for the upcoming festive celebrations :)

** Available at Boots **
